Michelle FAURER

Born and raised in Aspen, Michelle started skiing before the age of 3. In addition to skiing she is an avid snowboarder. She has transitioned her experience from team and individual sports to fitness which is now her passion.   Her positive energy encourages her students.  She is constantly trying to expand her knowledge and find innovative ways to help her clients achieve their goals. After spending 6 years in Los Angeles Michelle is happy to be back in the valley and enjoys  skiing, snowboarding, hiking, horseback riding and spending time with family and friends.

Denise Latousek

Founder and Owner of Burn Fitness Studio

Denise Latousek has been a Roaring Fork Valley resident since 1999. A fitness professional for over twenty years, and over 20 certifications Denise was certified as a personal trainer with NASM in 2000.

Her inspirational story began after a debilitating injury that left her physically and psychologically broken. Her physical recovery was slow, deliberate and emotionally painful. She discovered that perseverance was the primary ingredient to performance. It didn't matter how slow she progressed, as long as she kept going.

With determination and heart, she rebuilt her body and has gone on to become one of the most inspiring and sought after personal fitness trainers in the Aspen community and the Roaring Fork Valley.

Denise's approach to fitness is squarely focused on building a strong foundation for growth. Her inspiring instruction comes from a personal passion for helping individuals to unlock their full potential. With a sense of humor, an easy-going nature and endless hands-on experience, Denise has become renowned for her ability to drive results.

Denise focuses on functional, resistance, and eccentric forms of training, driving overall improvements in flexibility, core, balance and strength at every level of fitness. Her customized approach improves postural distortions, muscle imbalances, strength and body composition.

Denise is most rewarded by training people with various health problems such as weight loss, heart disease, hypertension, high cholesterol, obesity, diabetes, osteoporosis, arthritis, chronic pain, and a variety of conditions associated with recovery and post-rehab. When possible, Denise works in conjunction with doctors and physical therapists in delivering safe and effective exercise programs to help improve quality of life.

A lover of the outdoors, Denise enjoys alpine skiing, mountain biking, cycling, hiking, paddleboarding, and golf. She lives in Basalt with her husband Michael and her two children, Lauren and Taylor.



 Alycia has been dedicated to fitness for over thirty years. Upon

moving to Aspen in 1991, she helped pioneer the dryland training program and
was a personal trainer at the three premier health clubs in town. She helped
train the downhill racers for the 24 hours of Aspen and taught several ski
conditioning and fitness classes throughout the valley. 

Her high energy and dedication to a healthy lifestyle has
inspired many clients to make positive changes to their lives. She loves the
energy of group fitness classes, as well as the results she achieves with her
personal training and nutritional clients. She loves to work with goal oriented
clients whether it’s to increase fitness, lose weight, or train for an
event.  She believes a healthy lifestyle
and fit body enhances every aspect of your life.

Alycia is an avid marathoner, skier, biker and hiker. When
she is not teaching you can find her running around with family, on the
sidelines of her kids games or cooking delicious, healthy meals.

Stephanie Power Smith 

Stephanie fell in love with group fitness at the age of 16.  Her mom decided to take her to her gym and she was one of the youngest members of the newly built Women's Gainesville Health & Fitness Center in Gainesville, Fla.  The innovative concept of creating a health club for women only in order to give them the comfort and confidence to workout without the intimidation of "working out in front of men" was remarkable.  She was hooked immediately and has been a "gym rat" ever since.  Although circuit weight training was a great workout, she was intensely drawn to group fitness classes and a step aerobics addict for almost 30 years. 3 years ago, she was introduced to BODYPUMP and realized "finally, a weight training class, combined with high intensity interval training and awesome music!".  That was the magic ticket and now Stephanie couldn't be more excited to be a certified BODYPUMP trainer, instructing at Burn Fitness Studio!


Stephanie moved to this beautiful valley in 1993 and has loved every minute of these past 21 years.  She moved here from Gainesville, Fla after graduating from the University of Florida, is married to Tim Power Smith and they have 2 children, Jacob and Jenna.

Bailey MaCallister grew up on the front range of Colorado. She began taking group dance lessons at the age or four and continued with them for eight years. It was there that she developed a passion for movement within a group. She also grew up skiing, biking, running in school and completing two marathons. Bailey received her Masters in Nutrition Therapy in 2011 and worked with Whole Foods Market in Denver as a Healthy Eating Specialist. She moved to the valley in 2012 for her husband to open up the Whole Foods. A year later they had their first child, Colette and Bailey has been a stay at home mom with her since. She has always been looking for opportunities to use and share her passions with the valley.

During the last 7 years, Sandy has  taught cycling and BODYPUMP classes at the Breckenridge Recreation Center. She also has taught Alpine and Telemark ski lessons for the Breckenridge Ski & Ride School. In her previous career she taught elementary and middle school with the United States Dept of Defense in Italy at Aviano Air Force Base for 21 years.  She and her husband returned to the states in 2003 and settled in Breckenridge, CO for 10 years. She now lives in Basalt and loves the Roaring Fork Valley! "I've always loved working with people. I hope to instill in my students a desire to improve technique and fitness levels  Group classes are my favorite because we draw energy from each other to improve…and they’re fun!"

Her favorite activities include just about anything outside.

Janelle grew up in St. Louis, Missouri and joined a gym with her mom at an early age. She started taking group fitness classes in high school, and immediately became hooked. She found that fitness classes helped to alleviate stress, and were much more motivating than working out solo. While attending Colorado State University, she enrolled in a Fitness Instructor Training course at the Recreation Center. Janelle proceeded to teach classes at the Rec Center during her last 2 years in college, such as Kickboxing, Tabata, Water Aerobics, Barbell, HIIT, Boot Camp and more. Janelle moved to Basalt in August 2015 to work as the PR & Marketing Coordinator at The Little Nell hotel in Aspen. On her free time, Janelle enjoys skiing, biking, hiking, cooking and snuggling with her two kittens. She is thrilled to continue teaching fitness classes and join the Burn Fitness team!

natashia cohen

Natashia has instructed Yoga Fitness for over fifteen years in Colorado's Roaring Fork Valley. While studying with internationally renowned professionals, Natashia integrates continuing education in both wellness and academia.  As an active person, parent and daily Yoga practitioner, Natashia provides group and private classes that are refreshing, engaging, upbeat and geared for all levels.​

With over 13 years of work-related experience in the fitness industry, Angela's love for health and fitness began at a much younger age.  Angela grew up with a very active lifestyle participating in varies sports and helping out on the family farm in Kansas.  In high school, she participated in tennis, power lifting, and track and field where she became one of the first female pole vaulters in her high school.

Angela went on to pursue her love for health and fitness at Kansas State University.  While attending college, she was involved in tennis intramurals and the women's crew team her freshman year.  In 2003, Angela graduated from KSU with a Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology.

Following her graduation, Angela's love for the mountains and for skiing brought her to Colorado.  Prior to moving to the Roaring Fork Valley, Angela worked at as a physical therapy aide and personal trainer in Colorado Springs.  In 2006, she moved to the valley and continues do what she loves most; helping others achieve their fitness goals and pushing them to levels beyond their perceived capabilities.  Her areas of expertise include pre-natal and post-natal training, weight loss, senior fitness, back injury prevention, body toning and sculpting, lifestyle management and sport-specific training.  In addition to personal training, Angela enjoys teaching group fitness classes such as Rip:60, TRX Suspension, TRX Rip Training, Water Aerobics, Pre-natal and Post-natal, and boxing.

When Angela is not found at the gym or out on the mountains, you can find her spending quality time with her husband and two adorable boys.

Kris Sinko

Kris grew up on the East Coast playing sports and learning how to ski in Vermont.  She moved to the valley in 1993 and was hired by her husband, Robert, to work at The Crestwood Lodge in Snowmass Village.  After her twin daughters were born in 1999, Kris decided to pursue yoga and loved it immediately.  After years of sports, yoga was the answer to healing her body.  She practiced Bikram Yoga for 13 years and then for a couple years practiced vinyasa flow and other forms of yoga.  Kris trained locally and is now sharing the amazing benefits of yoga by teaching it to others. Kris believes that people start yoga for the physical workout but stay for what yoga does for their mind.  

Andrea Orrego

My name is Andrea. I'm an architect, owner of 0110-atelier.com and Zumba instructor.
I moved to Colorado from Lima, Peru in December 2013. I had just graduated college and gotten my degree in architecture. I moved here because this is where my (then) fiancé is from and we decided this is where we wanted to live. 
Even though we knew this is where we would stablish ourselves, we didn’t know exactly how. So when I came here in December, it was only to figure out things and find the best way to proceed with papers. We learned that the immigration process is really slow and that if we wanted to do it from Peru, it would take longer. So the decision was to get married here and get things going. 
It was an unplanned wedding, just went and signed some papers. My parents were kind enough to drop everything and come to witness the two whole minutes it took for us to get married. 
After that, things got really slow and frustrating for me. 
It was because of a Zumba class that I was taking in Eagle that I got to make new friends and have something going on for myself. Zumba gave me the confidence I needed to feel like I also belonged here. I made some priceless personal relationships with the other students and the instructors, who became my closest friends in the valley.
I decided to get certified to teach because I wanted to share the joy I felt while taking the class. Zumba is all about embracing what you are and becoming the best version of yourself. It’s about having fun and building a community. And, most importantly, it’s about feeling sexy and great before even seeing the results the fitness program achieves.
My goal is to provide a class in which we all have fun and feel great with ourselves without even noticing we are working out. I hope you all come join me for the next Zumba party!



Originally from Ohio, Ellen began coming to Aspen as an Aspen Music Festival student in 2002.  By 2008, the beauty of the mountains and the local focus on fitness and healthy lifestyle led her to make her home in the Roaring Fork Valley with her husband and two young daughters. Ellen is an avid music lover, road cyclist, and skier.  She believes in the power of music to inspire, perspire, and transform the self.  Her classes place an emphasis on proper form and alignment to produce functional power, and to allow the body to build strength and stamina without injury.

Melissa is new to the Roaring Fork Valley, having been brought here via her husband Chance, a Basalt native. In “real” life she is an equine veterinarian but a love for fitness and balanced living brought her into the fitness instructor world. Starting with becoming a spin instructor over 12 years ago, finding that teaching/exercising through under grad and vet school was the best way to alleviate stress. Adding Body Pump to her repertoire in 2013(completing the certification while 6 months pregnant) Melissa loves helping people reach their fitness goals whatever they may be, a 5K or an Ironman.

Outside of the gym Melissa spends much of her time with her very active daughter Calie, hiking and exploring.
